Marin Airporter

A shuttle the Bay Area has trusted for decades, a brand rebuilt by Revel, and a website that had to work for two very different riders.

Marin Airporter has been getting the Bay Area to SFO for decades. Generations of riders trust it. The website didn't show that: it was built for a previous era of the web, and the brand had just been rebuilt by Revel Brand Design.

Revel brought the identity and the client relationship. I took it from there: the site, design through build.

The riders think differently, so the site had to hold both

Half the audience is Uber-native and expects booking to feel like an app. The other half has ridden for years and wants the schedule, big and legible, without relearning anything.

The design borrows the booking-first clarity of a rideshare app while keeping the schedule front and center, so neither rider pays a tax for the other's habits.

Wide

Schedules are data, not pages

I built a custom scheduling system in WordPress with automated time calculations for every pickup location. Times live in one place and flow to every location page, so nothing drifts out of date.

Staff update it like filling out a form. No developer required.

Inset

Language is a route, not a label

The Spanish language switcher doesn't just translate the brochure. It routes riders directly into Spanish-language ticketing, so a Spanish-speaking rider completes the entire job, from finding the schedule to holding a ticket, in their own language.

Tall

Judah is a rare find, equally strong in design and development. Thoughtful, responsive, and detail-oriented, he was an incredible partner for Revel, and we're excited to work with him again.

Revel owned the brand and the client relationship. I owned the website. Clean lanes, no handoff losses, and the client got one accountable person for everything from design decisions to the scheduling backend.

Revel has since brought me back for two more engagements. That's the model working: they handle the identity, I make the site live up to it.
